SSP Layered Standard Traceability (SSP-LS-Traceability) 1.0.0 Release

The Modelica Association Project System Structure and Parameterization has announced the 1.0.0 official release of the SSP Layered Standard Traceability (SSP-LS-Traceability).

SSP-LS-Traceability extends SSP with standardized mechanisms to capture and exchange traceability information in system models, enabling stronger links between requirements, architecture elements, and validation artifacts.

FMI Layered Standard for Network Communication (FMI-LS-BUS) 1.0.0 Release

The Modelica Association Project FMI has announced the 1.0.0 official release of the FMI Layered Standard for Network Communication (FMI-LS-BUS).

FMI-LS-BUS defines a standardized interface and packaging for network communication simulation in FMI-based workflows and enables interoperable exchange of bus simulation components across tools.

FMI Layered Standard for XCP 1.0.0 Release

The Modelica Association Project FMI has released the 1.0.0 official release of the FMI Layered Standard for XCP (FMI-LS-XCP).

This constitutes the first layered standard on top of the FMI Standard developed and released by the FMI Project.

FMI 3.0.2 Release

The Modelica Association Project FMI has released the maintenance release version 3.0.2 in parallel with the maintenance release version 2.0.5 of the Functional Mock-up Interface standard.

Both are maintenance releases with clarifications and bugfixes and no new features compared to FMI 2.0.4 and FMI 3.0.1 respectively.

The Modelica Association Project has released the patch release version 3.0.1 of the Functional Mock-up Interface standard.

This release is the first patch release of FMI 3.0, with a number of clarifications and bugfixes of the FMI 3.0 major release.

ASAM e.V. has released version 3.6.0 (Inspiring Irvine) of the Open Simulation Interface standard. This is the fourth full release of Open Simulation Interface under the ASAM umbrella.

The release features numerous backward-compatible extensions, including a new streaming update interface and HAD function output interface, as well as detailed pedestrian skeleton information, host vehicle kinematics, and enhanced sensor detection data.

FMI 3.0 Implementers' Guide Published

The Modelica Association Project and prostep ivip have jointly published the initial release of the FMI 3.0 Implementer’s Guide.

This guide is a free resource intended to give non-normative recommendations and guidance to implementers of the Functional Mock-up Interface.

SETLevel Final Event

The federally supported German research project SETLevel has presented its core results during the SETLevel Final Event held at the BMW engineering center in Munich, Germany.

As a sub-contractor for some of the SETLevel participating companies, with a special focus on definition and standardization of simulation interfaces, like OSI or OSMP, we were happy to present an overview on industrial standards for the development of automated driving in the second session of the event.

OpenSCENARIO 2.0 Public Release

ASAM e.V. has released the final public release of the OpenSCENARIO 2.0 standard.

As one of the founding members and language sub-lead of the OpenSCENARIO 2.0 project, we will support this release with further resources for getting acquainted with the language. This includes a draft Python framework for parsing of OpenSCENARIO 2.0 files, named py-osc2.

OSI Release 3.4.0

ASAM e.V. has released version 3.4.0 (Gallant Glock) of the Open Simulation Interface standard. This is the second full release of Open Simulation Interface under the ASAM umbrella.

The release features numerous backward-compatible extensions, including support for Flatbuffer encoding, data volume reductions in SensorView messages, and support for in-vehicle data communications.

First Release of ASAM OpenX Standards

After only one year of intensive project work since taking over the further standardization activities of the OpenX standards, ASAM e.V. has now released OpenDRIVE V1.6.0 and OpenSCENARIO V1.0.0. The newly released versions offer significant improvements over their predecessor versions, and demonstrate the successful transition of the OpenX standards to the ASAM organization.

Pegasus Symposium 2019

The federally supported German research project PEGASUS has presented its core results during the PEGASUS Symposium 2019 held at the VW proving grounds at Ehra, Germany.

As a sub-contractor for some of the PEGASUS participating companies, with a special focus on definition and standardization of simulation interfaces, like OSI or OSMP, we are very happy to see the ideas of PEGASUS come to fruition in such a convincing manner.

A new patch release 1.0.2 of the SHA-3 library has been released, which fixes an important bug in the generation of message digests, where multiple calls to sha3-update with partially filled buffers could lead to input data being lost and therefore incorrect and colliding message digests being generated.

A new patch release 1.0.1 of the SHA-3 library has been released, which switches the implementation choice for 64bit versions of LispWorks to the 32bit implementation instead of the fixnum default implementation. No other changes are contained in this release.

As atonement for the recent MD5 release, and since we seem to perversely enjoy bumming numeric Common Lisp code, we have put together an implementation of the newly announced SHA-3, i.e. the algorithm formerly known as Keccak.

Consolidated MD5 release 2.0.0

The MD5 implementation for Common Lisp implemented by Pierre R. Mai a decade ago has been floating around in various tweaked versions for some time now. We have now produced a new consolidated release (release 2.0.0) of this with proper packaging, all known fixes and tweaks and implementation optimizations. The new release is still available from its PMSF page, and its new GitHub home.

Deflate 1.0.1 released

A new minor release of Deflate is available, which only contains two changes from 1.0.0:

Due to popular demand, the Deflate system is now called "deflate" instead of "Deflate", thus allowing (require :deflate) or (asdf:oos 'asdf:load-op :deflate) to do the right thing. Note that this is an incompatible change from version 1.0.0, thus requiring changes to system definition or init files referencing "Deflate" to reference "deflate" or :deflate or #:deflate instead.
