OSI Release 3.8.0
ASAM e.V. has released version 3.8.0 (Krisp Kobayashi) of the Open Simulation Interface standard. This is the sixth full release of Open Simulation Interface under the ASAM umbrella.
The release features numerous backward-compatible enhancements, including
- repository modularization for core protobuf definitions and language-specific bindings,
- a new multi-channel trace file format based on MCAP,
- harmonized vehicle type support across ASAM OpenX standards,
- additional road, light-state, and road marking semantics, and
- various checker-rule and documentation improvements.
It includes many other clarifications and technical improvements for specification quality and implementation support.
